Prashant Dandekar is a distinguished professional with a unique blend of administrative experience and deep-rooted passion for the arts. An ex-officer of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), he brings with him decades of governance expertise, strategic planning, and organizational leadership.
Beyond his administrative career, Prashant has been actively dedicated to the promotion and preservation of Indian classical music and allied arts. His commitment to cultural enrichment is reflected through his close association with esteemed organizations such as Kalyan Gayan Samaj—one of the oldest institutions devoted to classical music—and Spandan, where he continues to contribute towards nurturing artistic talent and organizing meaningful cultural initiatives.
As a Co-Founder of Horizon Events, Prashant plays a pivotal role in shaping the vision and direction of the organization. His ability to merge cultural sensitivity with professional execution ensures that every event curated under his guidance carries depth, elegance, and purpose.
His mission is to create platforms that celebrate tradition while embracing contemporary expression, fostering a vibrant cultural ecosystem for artists and audiences alike.
Swapnil Bhate
Swapnil Bhate is the Founder of Horizon Events and a distinguished Tabla artist, known for his deep commitment to Indian music and cultural initiatives. A disciple of Pt. Suresh Talwalkar, he carries forward a rich legacy of rhythm and tradition under the guidance of one of the most respected maestros in Indian classical music.
He currently serves as the Principal of Dinkar Sangeet Vidyalaya, an institution nurtured by the prestigious Kalyan Gayan Samaj, which has a legacy of over 100 years in promoting Indian classical arts. Through his role, he actively contributes to shaping the next generation of musicians and preserving the cultural heritage of Indian music.
With extensive experience in event conceptualization and execution, Swapnil has been instrumental in organizing a wide range of musical concerts and cultural events across genres. His expertise spans from classical performances to large-scale curated programs, ensuring high-quality artistic experiences.
He has been actively associated with the prestigious Devgandharva Mahotsav for over 25 years, contributing significantly to its planning and execution, making it one of the notable cultural platforms for music enthusiasts.
As a performing artist, he has showcased his talent at esteemed platforms, including performances at the Devgandharva Festival with his conceptualized program “ÄWARTAN”, which reflects his creative approach to rhythm and presentation. He has also had the privilege of accompanying renowned artists such as Pt. Shaunak Abhisheki, Devaki Pandit, Rahul Deshpande, and Pt. Kaivalya Kumar Gurav, among others.
